Spiritual Living
Chapter 5
Deeper and Deeper
How cool is that?
So it turns out everything is interconnected including the trees, oceans, planets, people, even the clowns are connected, related, to us.
So now we have to celebrate EVERYONE’S Birthdays, because we’re related!
Even more important, EVERYTHING WE EXPERIENCE in life is made from the same infinity WE are made from.
Everything that we experience in life is nothing other than that same thing that is the basis of me.
And that is pretty cool, that is pretty cool.
Now, if we’re all made from this, then why don’t we know it?
How come we’re not “connected” to it? How come we don’t experience it?
This is actually a trick question because from the side of infinity we are still Connected !!!
From its side, nothing happened, nothing “left” or “went out of” infinity: it is all still inside.
From God’s perspective you are not separated from God. From your perspective you are!
Why?
Because you play a little trick, you play the little game and we will get into how that works. In just a moment.
So what happens? How does creation come out of infinity--or does it?
The Big Bang theory explains creation exploded from an intensely compacted state, and has been expanding ever since. But it doesn’t explain where the compact ball came from in the first place (unless it was a com- pact ball from the previous creation: it exploded, everything expanded away from it until gravity pulled it all back into itself. Then it exploded again.
The Old Testament tells us God creates the world in 7 days, and does so by thinking/desiring/saying, “Let there be....”
Which is very cool.
But it is interesting this is not the most prevalent explanation on the planet.
Another story, from another source, says that Shiva, residing in unboundedness, creates Vishnu, who is sleeping in the cosmic waters on a couch. While he sleeps, a lotus flower grows out of his navel. When the lotus blooms and opens, there is Brahma the Creator, who creates creation.
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi describes this process in his Science of Creative Intelligence (SCI) course. He explains, when consciousness becomes conscious, intelligence becomes intelligent in preparation to assume its roll of creative intelligence.
This is interesting, because it’s been said that the Vedic texts use terms to tell the story in a way that is simple to understand. So when we look at Maharishi’s SCI description, which seems abstract, could it be that when consciousness (Shiva) becomes conscious (Vishnu), intelligence (the lotus) becomes intelligent (Brahma) in preparation to assume its role of creative intelligence (God about to create creation)?
So it could be Shiva represents consciousness, which creates Vishnu by becoming conscious. Vishnu is sleeping, which means not aware. In that not aware state, a lotus flower grows out of Vishnu, which could mean the quality of intelligence. When the flower opens, blossoms, there is Brahma. The opening, blossoming means waking up, taking on being intelligent, no longer unaware intelligence.
And creative intelligence would then be Brahma the Creator coming out and becoming that directive force which directs the creative and intelli- gent forces of infinity into creating creation. He manifests it purposefully through his thoughts and speech, “Let there be....”
As an aside, we call that creative force of God, the Will of God. The structure that God puts into place according to His or Her Will are the laws of nature that govern the universe. The laws of nature we find everywhere are the Will of God; the directed intention of the Creator to have creation move in a particular way.
When we say, “let Thy will be done,” what we are saying is, “let the laws of nature that You have created, that You have organized, let those rule. Let those reign supreme, let us be in tune with natural law so that only Thy will happens, only that which is good and furthering the purpose of the creator happens.”
Which is a very noble endeavor. Of course, once we say that, we have to live accordingly. It’s kind of stupid to say “Let Thy Will be done,” then murder, create war for monetary gain, or burp during an inauguration.
Okay, end of that aside. Back to how creation comes out from infinity:
Another source explains that since everything comes from unboundedness, infinity, the unified field, all the qualities we know (hot, cold, soft, oily, hard, loud, silent...) must also come from it.
That means all things like happiness, sadness, dullness, awareness must also come from there, since everything does. If it comes from there, it must exist in infinity.
More to come...
